Invulnerability

Resistance to physical harm that would kill or maim an ordinary body — distinct from healing, which repairs damage after it lands.

How it works

The body itself resists penetration, impact and heat rather than recovering afterwards. The two are routinely confused, and the difference decides most fights: a healer bleeds and continues, an invulnerable character never bleeds. Almost every version has a stated exception — magic, a specific wavelength, a named weapon — because a character who cannot be hurt has no stakes.

Who has invulnerability

Across 4 universes. This list crosses publishers — something no single wiki can do, because every franchise keeps its own separate database.
