Production intelligence
Great stories nobody has filmed
30 comic arcs with no screen adaptation on record, ranked for how readily they could become one. The score is the average of three things a production actually cares about: how self-contained the story is, whether its length suits a film or a season, and how large a cast it demands.

How the score works
- Self-contained (1–5) — how much prior continuity a viewer needs. A story that needs forty years of setup is a harder sell than one that explains itself.
- Length (1–5) — 4–12 issues scores highest: enough story for a film, not so much that it has to be gutted. Long runs score lower because they are a series commitment, not a film.
- Cast size (1–5) — inverted. A two-hander is cheaper to cast, schedule and fund than an ensemble.
Deliberately not included: our own opinion of quality, and rights availability. The first is not measurable and the second changes monthly. What is here is structural, checkable, and arguable — which is the point.
