How to Watch Mob Psycho 100 in Order, Step by Step
1. Season 1 (2016): 12 episodes
Season 1 aired July to September 2016 and adapts manga chapters 1 to 50. It opens with Mob doing exorcism grunt work for his con-man boss Reigen, then runs through the (LOL) cult where Mob meets Dimple, the Teruki Hanazawa fight, and the Claw 7th Division arc that closes the season.
The tip for newcomers: give it past episode 2. The first two episodes are mostly setup, and ONE’s rough art style takes a minute to click. Episode 5, where Mob and Teru finally go all out, is where the show tells you what it actually is. Episode 11 is the other one fans talk about, when Reigen walks into a room full of Claw espers with borrowed power and a speech that turns the whole series around him.
2. Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic (2018): optional
This hour-long special premiered at an event screening in Japan on March 18, 2018. Most of it is Season 1 re-edited with Reigen narrating, with a short new case at the start and an extra stretch of new footage at the end. Fans who skip it miss very little.
Where it earns its slot is as a refresher. Season 2 came out more than two years after Season 1, and anyone coming back after a long gap can use it as a fast recap instead of rewatching 12 episodes.
3. Season 2 (2019): 13 episodes
Season 2 ran January 7 to April 1, 2019, and covers chapters 51 to 90. The first three episodes feel episodic, but don’t skip them. Episode 1 is a sharp little story about a classmate’s fake love confession, and the urban-legend episodes are just good fun. None of it is filler; it all comes straight from the manga.
Then the season gets serious. Episodes 4 and 5 are the Keiji Mogami arc, the darkest stretch in the whole series. Episodes 6 and 7 split Mob and Reigen apart and end in Reigen’s press conference. Episodes 8 to 13 are the Claw invasion of Seasoning City, capped by the fight with Toichiro Suzuki in episode 13, “Boss Fight.”
4. The First Spirits and Such Company Trip (2019): optional
The full title is Mob Psycho 100 II: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip ~A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul~, released September 25, 2019. It’s a roughly 24-minute anime-original episode where the Spirits and Such crew goes on a hot-springs trip that, naturally, turns into a job.
Unlike the Reigen special, this one is all new animation, so it’s the better of the two extras. Watch it after Season 2, since it assumes you know everyone who ends up working at the office by the end of that season. It isn’t canon to the manga, and Season 3 never references it.
5. Season 3 (2022): 12 episodes
Season 3 aired October 6 to December 22, 2022, and adapts chapters 91 to 101, the end of the manga. Mob is thinking about his future, a giant broccoli has sprouted over the city, and every cult in town wants it. Episodes 4 to 6 are the Divine Tree arc, episodes 7 and 8 are the Telepathy Club story, and episodes 9 to 12 are the final arc, titled simply “Mob.”
If you watch dubbed, know that Mob’s English voice changes here. Kyle McCarley voiced him in Seasons 1 and 2, and Jason Liebrecht takes over in Season 3 after contract talks with Crunchyroll stalled. Reigen’s actor, Chris Niosi, stays.
Does the Anime Cover the Whole Manga?
Yes. ONE’s manga ran from April 2012 to December 22, 2017, finishing at chapter 101 in 16 volumes, and Season 3’s last episode adapts that final chapter. Unlike most shonen adaptations, there’s no “where to start the manga after the anime” answer, because there’s nothing left after it.

Is the manga still worth reading? If you liked the anime, yes. ONE’s own art is rough on purpose, and the anime is famous for keeping that energy rather than polishing it out. Dark Horse publishes the English edition, and its run of 16 volumes is complete as of 2026. The manga also has the bonus omake chapters the anime never touched.
The Reigen spin-off manga
ONE also wrote a one-volume spin-off, Reigen (in Japanese, Reigen: The Man With Max 131 Spiritual Power), which began in March 2018 in Shogakukan’s MangaONE app. It follows Reigen running his consultation office with a part-time high school assistant. Dark Horse released it in English as Mob Psycho 100: Reigen in 2020. It was never animated, so it doesn’t go anywhere in the watch order. Read it any time after Season 1, once you know who Reigen is.
What About Mob Psycho Mini, the Psycho Helmet Cult, and the Anniversary Short?
Mob Psycho Mini is six pixel-art comedy shorts that shipped with the Japanese Season 1 Blu-ray volumes between September 2016 and February 2017. No plot, no stakes. Skip it unless you’re a completionist.
The Psycho Helmet Cult is not a special or an OVA, even though people search for it like one. It’s the cult that forms from Dimple’s old (LOL) followers after Mob breaks up that group in Season 1. They go looking for the boy with godlike powers and call him “Psycho Helmet.” In Season 3’s Divine Tree arc, their belief literally takes shape, and episode 4, “Divine Tree 1 ~The Founder Appears~,” is where it boils over. It’s all in the main series.
The 10th-anniversary short is the newest piece of Mob Psycho animation. Director Yuzuru Tachikawa wrote and directed it, and it debuted at the anniversary event in Kawaguchi, Japan, in July 2026 before going up on YouTube with English subtitles. It’s a short celebration, not a continuation, so it changes nothing about the order.
Where Does the Live-Action Mob Psycho 100 Fit?
Nowhere in the anime order. The live-action series is a separate 12-episode Japanese drama that premiered on Netflix on January 12, 2018, and aired on TV Tokyo from January 18 to April 5, 2018. Kōichi Sakamoto directed it, with Tatsuomi Hamada as Mob and Kazuki Namioka as Reigen.
It’s its own adaptation of the manga, not a sequel or side story to the anime. It reached US Netflix on May 22, 2018, but it has since left the service and isn’t streaming anywhere in the US right now. If you find it, watch it as a curiosity after the anime, not instead of it.

Crunchyroll is the only US service with the full set: all three seasons, the Reigen special, and the hot-springs OVA, both subbed and dubbed. The other services carry partial runs.

The move: if you’re starting on Netflix, you’ll hit a wall after Season 2, so plan to finish on Crunchyroll. Season 1’s English dub also aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami block from October 2018 to February 2019, which is how a lot of US fans first found the show.
Is There a Mob Psycho 100 Season 4 or Movie?

Why Mob Psycho 100 Is So Easy to Watch in Order
Most long shonen watch orders exist to help you dodge filler. Mob Psycho 100 has none because Bones adapted a finished manga at its own pace, three seasons for 101 chapters, instead of chasing a weekly serialization. That’s why every guide agrees on the core order and only argues about two optional specials.
It also matters for how the story lands. The emotion meter that fills to 100% in the very first episode is the same device the final arc is built on, and it only works if you’ve watched Mob bottle things up for 36 episodes. Skipping around, or starting at Season 3 because a clip went viral, costs you the ending. Watch it straight through.
What to Watch After Mob Psycho 100
The obvious next stop is ONE’s other big series, One Punch Man. Same creator, same joke at the core (an overpowered hero who doesn’t care about being overpowered), but played for action-comedy instead of coming-of-age.
