Marvel Rivals’ New Avengers: Endgame Mode Pits 50 Players Against Thanos, Here’s How to Play

The Marvel Rivals Avengers Endgame mode, officially called Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame, dropped October 22, 2026 and opened to players on October 24: a 50-person PvE raid against a time-traveling Thanos at the ruins of the Avengers Compound. It only runs in scheduled windows through November 26, 2026, and playing it once unlocks a free Captain America skin.

What Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame Actually Is

This is a PvE raid, not the PvP mode the game’s Avengers: Infinity War event used earlier this year. Fifty players queue together against AI-controlled Thanos forces in a recreation of the Compound from Endgame’s ending, and Marvel Rivals’ own patch notes frame it as a limited-time battle mode rather than a permanent addition to the roster of maps.

How to Queue Into the Raid

Open the Play tab on the Marvel Rivals home screen, select Change Mode in the bottom right, click Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame to lock it in, then hit Start to queue with 49 other players. Outside its scheduled windows the mode is greyed out and shows a countdown to the next session instead of a Start button.

When You Can Actually Play It

The mode only unlocks in short windows, not around the clock. NetEase’s own patch notes confirm two sessions for the mode’s October 24, 2026 opening weekend and say it “will be available for limited times each subsequent week” through the event’s November 26, 2026 close, without publishing every week’s exact times in advance, so check in-game for the current week’s windows rather than assuming they repeat exactly.

Session UTC Time Eastern (ET) Pacific (PT)
Oct 24 Session 1 1:00 AM – 3:00 AM 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Oct 23) 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Oct 23)
Oct 24 Session 2 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Confirmed opening-weekend sessions for Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame (event runs through Nov. 26, 2026; later weeks follow the same weekly pattern per NetEase but exact times weren’t pre-published)

What You Get for Playing

Finishing one full match during any scheduled session unlocks the Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume for free, no Units or battle pass required. Separately, visiting the Times Square social hub and watching the in-game Avengers: Endgame highlights screening for two straight minutes earns an exclusive Gallery Card, and photo ops around the same hub hand out 100 Units, both through November 26, 2026.

The Same Patch Didn’t Touch Hero Balance

Version 20261022, the update that added the raid, shipped with zero hero balance changes, only bug fixes: a wall-portal delay on Black Cat, directional issues on Black Widow’s Widow’s Bite, and visual arrow glitches on Hawkeye, plus costume-clipping fixes on Doctor Strange, Blade and Thor. If your main felt different this week, it wasn’t a stealth nerf; nothing on the tier list moved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame a PvP or PvE mode?

PvE. Fifty players team up against AI-controlled enemies, including Thanos, rather than fighting each other. That’s a deliberate contrast with the earlier Avengers: Infinity War event, which was PvP.

When does Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame close?

The overall event runs from October 22, 2026 to November 26, 2026, 9:00 AM UTC. The raid itself is only playable in short scheduled windows within that period, not continuously.

What do you get for playing Path to Doomsday?

Completing one full match during a scheduled session unlocks the Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume for free. A separate Times Square screening event and photo ops add a Gallery Card and 100 Units.

Do I need to buy anything to get the rewards?

No. NetEase’s patch notes specify the Captain America costume and the Times Square rewards are free, with no Units or battle pass purchase required.

Did the October 22 patch change any hero balance?

No. Marvel Rivals Version 20261022 contained only bug fixes (Black Cat, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and costume-clipping corrections) and no stat adjustments to any hero.
