The Fall 2026 anime lineup is headlined by The Apothecary Diaries Season 3, Black Clover Season 2, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, all confirmed for October 2026. Firefly Wedding is currently the only major title with a locked calendar date, premiering October 9 on Fuji TV’s noitamina block. Here’s every confirmed show and what we actually know.

Every confirmed Fall 2026 anime

This table covers the major titles with confirmed fall windows as of August 11, 2026. Where a specific date has not been announced, it says so rather than guessing. Seasonal grids at LiveChart and Anime News Network track additions as they are announced.

The thing that jumps out: almost nothing has a date

Build that table and a pattern becomes hard to miss. Of the six major confirmed titles, exactly one — Firefly Wedding — has a specific premiere date. Everything else is “October 2026” or, in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’s case, simply “Fall.”

We are roughly seven weeks out from the season starting. Historically, by mid-August the fall grid would be substantially dated, because broadcasters need to sell ad inventory against fixed slots and streaming platforms need lead time for simulcast marketing.

A season this close in with this many undated titles points at production schedules that are still settling. It’s the same pressure that shows up elsewhere in this lineup: The Apothecary Diaries is running Season 3 as a split cour, with the second half deferred to April 2027, and The Iceblade Sorcerer has changed animation studios between seasons, moving from Cloud Hearts to Studio ZERO-G.

None of those is a red flag on its own. Split cours and studio changes are normal industry practice. Taken together with the missing dates, though, they describe a fall season being assembled with less slack than usual — which is worth knowing if you’re the kind of viewer who plans a watchlist in advance. Expect dates to firm up through late August and September, and expect at least one of these to slip.

The three biggest titles

The Apothecary Diaries Season 3

TOHO Animation Studio and OLM confirmed Season 3 immediately after Season 2’s finale. It runs as a split cour — first half October 2026, second half April 2027 — and a separate Apothecary Diaries film with an original story by series creator Natsu Hyuuga is dated for December 2026. That’s a lot of Maomao in a short span, and the film sitting between the two cours is an unusual scheduling choice.

Black Clover Season 2

Ayataka Tanemura returns to direct, reuniting the creative team behind the original series and the 2023 film Sword of the Wizard King. Rock band WANIMA performs the opening theme, “Kienai Riyuu.” Crunchyroll streams. We covered Black Clover’s return when it was first announced.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2

A 10-episode standalone story on Netflix — not a direct continuation of David Martinez’s arc. The original Edgerunners is one of the few video game adaptations to be near-universally well received, which sets a genuinely high bar. No official date yet.

Also worth watching

  • Firefly Wedding — David Production adapting Oreko Tachibana’s manga, directed by Takahiro Kamei, starring Lynn and Kōki Uchiyama. Landing on noitamina is a signal in itself; that block has a strong track record.
  • The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World S2 — picks up with the Magics War arc. Masahiro Takata returns to direct under the new studio.
  • Magical Explorer — WHITE FOX adapting the light novel series, directed by Kazuki Ohashi.

Separately, Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery opens in Japanese theaters October 23 — a film rather than a TV series, so it sits outside this grid, but it’s the biggest anime event of the window.

For what’s airing right now, Re:ZERO Season 4 and Mushoku Tensei Season 3 are both mid-run. And if the genre labels are new to you, our explainer on what isekai means covers the terminology that dominates seasonal charts.
