Prime Video dropped the Rings of Power Season 3 trailer on October 21, 2026, and it’s the darkest look yet at the show. Sauron sits on a throne of his own making, the One Ring gets forged in fire, and his army of Orcs marches on Middle-earth. Season 3 premieres November 11.

Sauron Takes His Throne
The trailer opens on Sauron sitting on a throne built out of what look like carved dragon skulls, his armor laid out around him. He isn’t hiding behind Halbrand or Annatar anymore — this is him ruling in the open, and he looks completely at home there. After two seasons of Sauron working through disguises and proxies, watching him sit still and in charge is the clearest sign yet that Season 3 lets him win for a while before anyone can stop him.

The One Ring Gets Forged, On Screen
Amazon’s own title for this trailer is about forging the One Ring, and the footage backs that up: a scarred hand closes around a glowing ring while fire roars in the background, and later the same fire shows a lone figure standing in the middle of it with his arms raised. The show has spent two seasons building toward the Rings’ creation. This is the first time the camera lingers on the One Ring itself rather than one of the Rings given to Elves, Dwarves or Men.

Galadriel’s War Begins
Galadriel gets some of the trailer’s quietest moments — watching from a forest, caught mid-run at night — next to some of its most physical: she’s shown in open argument with other armored Elves and in at least one tense, emotional embrace. The season picks up seven years after the Siege of Eregion, and Galadriel’s arc here reads as someone still carrying that loss into a war she didn’t choose.

An Army of Orcs, and a New Elf Lord
Sauron’s forces get real screen time here — orcs in close-up, marching lines of soldiers, a coastal city shown from above with ships massing offshore. Season 3 also introduces Jamie Campbell Bower as Celeborn, Galadriel’s long-unseen husband, folding a major book character into the show for the first time. Simon Pegg is confirmed to voice the Balrog this season, though the trailer itself doesn’t give the creature a clean reveal.

‘Rule Them’ — the Trailer’s Title Card
The trailer closes its action with a two-word title card, splitting “RULE” and “THEM” across separate cuts of silhouetted figures watching a sunset — a clear nod to the Ring inscription (“one ring to rule them all”) that doubles as Amazon’s own stated theme for the season.

What’s New in This Rings of Power Trailer
Every Rings of Power Season 3 trailer before this one was a teaser: the first, released at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, gave a brief tonal flash with no release date attached. This is the first full trailer, the first to confirm the November 11 premiere and the compressed two-week episode schedule, and the first to show the One Ring actually being forged rather than just referenced. It’s also the first look at Jamie Campbell Bower in costume as Celeborn.
What the Trailer Doesn’t Show
For a season built around Sauron’s rise, the trailer doesn’t give him another clear close-up beyond the opening throne shot — no close-up during the forging scene, where he’s lit only as a silhouette. The Balrog that Simon Pegg is voicing this season doesn’t appear on screen at all, not even in shadow. And despite Celeborn’s casting being confirmed back in February, the trailer gives him a brief, unclear glimpse rather than a proper introduction — so whatever his role is this season, Amazon isn’t ready to show it yet.
