Watch it in black and white, and know it is only eight episodes

Spider-Noir ships in two versions, and you pick one before you press play. Prime Video’s own page offers the series in what its key art calls authentic black and white and in true-hue full colour, and Prime Video’s YouTube channel has cut separate official trailers for each – both are embedded below, so you can see the difference before you commit. Nicolas Cage plays a 1930s New York private detective who used to wear a mask, and the monochrome pass is the one that matches the genre the show is working in.

All eight episodes released together on May 25, 2026, at 42 to 49 minutes each – about six hours end to end, with episode one free with ads and the rest behind Prime on the same page. There is no second season coming: we reported the cancellation after one season and then the five Emmy wins that followed it days later. That is the reason to watch it now rather than later – it is a complete, finished six-hour story with no cliffhanger obligation attached to it.

Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Lord Miller Productions and Pascal Pictures made it, and nothing else needs to be watched first – it shares a character with the Spider-Verse films but not a story. One practical note on the listings: it carries an MGM+ network credit and turns up filed that way in a lot of databases, but Prime Video is where it streams in the US.
