Invincible VS Season 2 launches October 13, 2026, and it brings Angstrom Levy, Invincible’s multiversal arch-enemy, into the 3v3 tag fighter as a portal-and-orb zoning character. He’s the roster’s 21st fighter and the first new face of Season 2, confirmed by developer Quarter Up and publisher Skybound Games ahead of his competitive debut at Evo France this weekend.

Who Is Angstrom Levy, and Why Does He Matter in Invincible VS?

If you only know Invincible from the Prime Video show, Angstrom Levy is the scientist whose multiversal-travel experiment went wrong in front of Mark Grayson, leaving him with a fractured face and the ability to rip open portals to infinite parallel worlds. He’s spent the comic hunting alternate versions of himself to build an army, which makes him one of the few Invincible villains who can credibly fight an entire team alone — exactly the kind of threat a 3v3 fighter can build a character around.

How Angstrom Levy Plays

Quarter Up built Angstrom entirely around his portals rather than giving him a token gimmick move. He opens green rifts that reposition himself, redirect his own projectiles, trap an opponent mid-combo, or let him escape a bad situation outright, and he backs that up with summoned orbs that extend his zoning further than almost anyone currently in the game.

The trade-off, according to the official Angstrom Levy Deep Dive, is a real learning curve: his kit does very little until his portals are actually placed and active, so new players will lose rounds just figuring out the setup before the payoff clicks.

What Else Is in Invincible VS Season 2?

Angstrom isn’t the only thing changing on October 13. Season 2 resets the ranked ladder, adds a new stage, and brings a fresh game mode alongside expanded cosmetics, with balance and stability passes aimed at the cast that’s already in the game.

Season 2 addition What it does
New fighter Angstrom Levy — zoning/trap specialist built on portals and orbs
Ranked reset Fresh competitive season and leaderboard
New stage Additional arena added to the rotation
New mode Unnamed alternate mode alongside standard 3v3 tag matches
Balance pass Stability and character tuning across the existing roster

Can a New Fighter Turn Invincible VS Around?

Invincible VS launched April 30, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and developer Quarter Up announced it had passed 1 million total players by May 11, 2026, counting from the April 9 open beta. That early number has not held: SteamCharts shows the game’s all-time Steam peak was 5,339 concurrent players back in May 2026, and as of October 9 it was down to a daily peak in the low dozens.

A new DLC fighter timed to a major tournament is the standard live-service move for pulling a shrinking player base back in, and Angstrom’s Evo France debut this weekend is clearly built to do exactly that before the wider October 13 launch.

When Can You Play Angstrom Levy?

Angstrom Levy is playable first at Evo France, running October 9 through 11, 2026, ahead of his full release to everyone on October 13 as part of Season 2. He’ll be available as an individual purchase or through the game’s Year 1 Character Pass, the same way the first two DLC fighters were sold.
