What Happens When the Worst Bot Ever Meets the Worst Decepticon Ever?

Let’s be real, the first Worst Bot Ever was a breath of fresh air for Transformers fans. It introduced us to Ballpoint, a Decepticon who just wasn’t very good at being bad. After finding a new home with the Autobots, it seemed like he was on the right track. But in Bot Swap!, a mishap with an experimental weapon is about to throw a wrench in the works, causing Ballpoint to swap bodies with none other than the most feared Decepticon of them all—Megatron!

Writer Brian “Smitty” Smith is clearly excited to be back, saying, “I’m absolutely thrilled to deliver more adventures of the bot with the biggest ego (and even bigger heart). Ballpoint has made an immediate impact with TRANSFORMERS fans of all ages, you’re gonna want to buckle up for this next ride!” [1]

And artist Marz Jr. is just as pumped, adding, “What have you gotten yourself into this time Ballpoint?! I’m pumped to be bringing back the lovable rascal for another wacky adventure!” [1]

The Energon Universe Just Keeps Getting Bigger

This new graphic novel is another sign of the incredible success of the Skybound and Hasbro collaboration. The shared Energon Universe has been a massive hit with fans, with the two-time Eisner Award-winning TRANSFORMERS series and the reboot of G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero flying off the shelves. The Kickstarter campaigns for the compendium sets also broke records, proving that fans are hungry for more from this new era of Transformers and G.I. Joe.

Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound, summed it up perfectly: “Your favorite new Transformers bot is back! We’re thrilled to continue Ballpoint’s misadventures with a body-swapping tale guaranteed to delight Transformers fans of all-ages. You’ve never seen Megatron like this before!” [1]

When Can You Get Your Hands on It?

TRANSFORMERS: Worst Bot Ever – Bot Swap! will be available in comic book shops on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and at booksellers and digital platforms on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. So mark your calendars and get ready for another hilarious adventure with the worst bot ever!
